Sarah reprimanded Kevin fiercely in front of the other students, then sent him to stand in the hallway as punishment, and turned to leave.
Now Kevin panicked. Everything else was secondary, but asking his parents to come to school terrified him. His parents worked far away, and if they traveled all that distance only to hear about this, he'd surely get a beating so severe his butt would be left raw!
After thinking it over, he decided to go back and beg Sarah for mercy one more time.
