Secret Obsession

Chapter 2

Was it my fault? Was I asking for too much?

I met him six months ago.

Back then, besides the bus, I used to sneak into the men's locker room at a local gym.

And that's how I found Leo, my very own stray puppy of a husband.

It was in the afternoon. He was on his work break, taking a shower, and I was in the next stall...

As I was peeking, the sounds outside suddenly stopped.

I saw him collapse, breathing heavily.

Did this guy just have a heart attack while using the restroom?

I didn't even have time to pull my pants up before I rushed out to save him.

And just like that, I became his savior.

One thing led to another, and we became husband and wife.

I knew he was the one from the moment I saw him. We even went back to that locker room sometimes to relive the moment we met. We were happy for a while.

But as my "sickness" got worse, as my fantasies grew bigger and more frequent, he started to fail me.

Nothing we tried worked.

I had no choice but to go out and "hunt" for myself, moving from just looking to letting them touch.

I didn't know how much longer I could last.

The car stopped in our apartment complex's parking lot.

Leo carried my barely conscious body upstairs.

"Baby, you came to see me with nothing on underneath again~"

He leaned me against the door and planted a loud, wet kiss on my collarbone.

He fumbled with the keys, clearly in a hurry. I thought maybe he was feeling it again.

But when the door opened, I saw a man standing in our living room.

I screamed and ran straight into the master bedroom.

That man was Julian, my husband's best friend.

He was also my classmate from college.

Being seen like that by someone from my past… I wanted to die of embarrassment.

I tidied myself up in the bathroom but couldn't bring myself to come out.

Finally, Leo knocked on the door.

"Baby, I invited Julian over for dinner. I forgot to tell you. He got off work early, so he came over to get things ready."

"Come on, baby, do me a favor. It's his birthday today, and he was all alone. I thought we could have a few drinks with him."

"Don't worry, honey. He's practically blind without his glasses. He couldn't see a thing, I promise..."

After Leo’s sweet talking, I finally opened the door, wearing my most conservative pajamas.

He was right. What could someone with vision that bad really see?

I’d known Julian was back in town for about two months. Leo had brought him over, introducing him as his childhood best friend.

When Leo found out Julian and I were college classmates, he called it fate.

He started inviting Julian over all the time, even giving him a key to our place.

But Julian and I never really talked much back in college.

As the class representative, I sometimes had to chase him down for assignments.

He was always a ghost, kind of a loner. Even now, sitting in my home, I barely spoke to him.

I always thought he was gloomy and weird, like he hadn't slept in days. A total creep.

I kept telling myself he was blind as a bat. He couldn't have seen anything.

On the low table, Julian had prepared quite a spread, including my favorite seafood.

"Baby, Julian said he has a surprise for you in the kitchen. Go get it."

A surprise for me? But it was his birthday.

Confused, I walked into the kitchen and opened a white foam box.

Inside lay a single, thick, red octopus tentacle.

It was still twitching.

My heart skipped a beat. Did he see me playing with one last time?
